Wine Advocate 96 – “The Oddero 2013 Barolo Riserva Vignarionda is a gracefully aged expression with some dusty characteristics behind dried cherry fruit, spice and crushed mineral. The wine is pinned tightly together by a long succession of elegant and linear tones. The tannins are tucked in at the back and seamlessly absorbed into the mid-weight texture of fruit from Serralunga d’Alba. This is a very precise and linear expression. The idea behind this Riserva was to present a late release 10 years after the harvest. But Mariacristina Oddero and her family decided that it made more sense to time each release according to the qualities of the vintage. This 2013 shows beautiful results now, but it still holds back today in order to give you more tomorrow.”
