2019 Cobb Pinot Noir Wendling Vineyard

The Wendling Vineyard is the most northwestern vineyard in the entire Anderson Valley and is planted to a massale selection from famous vineyards in Burgundy. Ted Lemon put this rugged vineyard on the map at Littorai, and its close proximity to the Pacific Ocean and steep, rocky, southwest facing slopes make it a unique and challenging site that yields superb fruit. 200 cases made.

Wine Advocate 96+ – “Medium ruby, the 2019 Pinot Noir Wendling Vineyard offers pure cranberry, red cherry, pomegranate and rhubarb fruit, with accents of forest floor, conifer and Angostura bitters. The medium-bodied palate is powerful and spicy, with loads of silty tannins, a deep core of spicy fruit and a very long, nuanced finish. It has more to give with an additional 2-3 years in bottle.”
