“From 1ha of vines more than 50 years old on the upper slope, on the border with Forêts, facing southeast, the Montmains from this cellar stands out for its pronounced aroma of ripe pear and white blossoms with a note of chalky minerality. It’s concentrated and powerful, and the balanced acidity drives the wine to an impressive finish. Although approachable now, it will truly begin to open in 10 years. The wine matured for 18 months, partly in tank and partly in cask.”
